Sloan Updates Its TriCip System
Compressor Tech 2 covered our Bryan Boarts’ paper, Indexing Power Cylinder Lubrication Rates presented at the Engine Analyzer and Reliability Conference. This article outlines updates to our TriCip Systems and details the work that we’ve done in tethering lube rates on natural gas compressor power cylinders to BMEP in operations where the BTU rating of natural gas changes.
Gas Quality Improvement
This technical report, co-authored by CJ Sloan and Keith Schaffer of TC Energy, details the first major pipeline-wide implementation of our revolutionary TriCip System on 134 compressors in the TC Energy transmission system.
Outstanding Service and Expertise
At Sloan Lubrication Systems, we back our systems and components with a relentless commitment to outstanding service, industry knowledge, and technical expertise. From engineering and design, to technical support, emergency service, system evaluation, training and more, our teams are ready to address your service needs and ensure your lubrication system continues to perform at its optimal level of efficiency.
TriCip – A Better Lubrication System
Sloan Lubrication Systems’ revolutionary TriCip is helping customers save more than just time and money. In 2021, over 100 TriCip units operating nationwide saved our customers up to 75,000 gallons of lubricant, minimized lube oil carryover, cut operating costs, and helped them meet their ESG goals.
TriCip – Revolutionizing Compressor Lubrication
The TriCip System is setting new standards for compressor lubrication by reducing lubricant consumption up to 90%. Combining a state-of-the-art lubricant delivery system with an advanced proprietary lubricating fluid and IIOT monitoring and controls, TriCip excels at eliminating costly sources of gas stream contamination and minimizing environmental impact due to the effects of lube oil carry-over.
The Watchman – Modular Plug and Play Turnkey System
Recognizing the demands of the industry for a fail-safe lubrication system, we set out to develop a self-contained, modular system easily customizable for a vast majority of applications. The Watchman was introduced nearly 50 years ago and today, more than 1,000 are in operation, providing reliable performance to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients.
A Longer Look at Lubrication and Solutions
Sloan is developing better ideas in lubrication to help customers overcome challenges and maximize efficiency with the exclusive TriCip System.
The Watchman Modular. Plug and Play. Turnkey. Simplicity.
Natural gas compressors last a long time. Much of the current fleet deployed in the natural gas transmission system in the United States is more than 50 years old.
Is your lubrication system fail-safe?
Modern critical machinery lubrication systems are designed to be fail safe. This means that if anything happens to the system that prevents it from delivering the right amount of lubricant to all delivery points, the system will trigger a shutdown to protect the machinery.
Some Changes Are For the Better
At Sloan Lubrication Systems, we pride ourselves on being an innovative and a solutions-oriented team. With the changes in business dynamics in the past year, we had the opportunity to evaluate some of our processes, services, and our communication tools.
